Malaysian Recipe : Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce

Ingredients:
- 300 g boneless cubes of chicken from the breast
- 5 g ginger paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- ¼ tsp jeera powder
- 2 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp MSG
For peanut sauce:
- 50 g peanut
- 2 tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 5 g chili paste
- 5 g ginger
- 5 g garlic
- 5 g onions
- 1 cup chicken stock
Directions:
- Marinate the chicken in a mixture of ginger paste, turmeric powder, sugar, jeera powder and MSG, for one hour. Skewer the marinated pieces on wooden sticks or grill.
- On a griddle, lightly roast the peanuts and grind to a fine powder.
- Grind together the garlic, ginger and onions to a paste. Lightly fry this paste.
- Add chicken stock, powdered peanuts, sugar, salt, chili paste and vinegar. Keep stirring until sauce thickens.
- Garnish the chicken satay with onions and cucumber and serve with peanut sauce.
