Malaysian Recipe : Chili Crab


  • 2 large crabs
  • 10 g garlic
  • 10 g ginger
  • 20 g onion
  • 10 g chili powder
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • 50 g diced capsicum
  • 50 g diced onion
  • 20 g chopped green chilies
  • Salt to taste


  1. Clean and dust the crabs with cornstarch and keep aside.
  2. Grind thee garlic, ginger, onion and green chilies together to a fine paste.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan, add the garlic, ginger, onions and chili paste and fry till golden brown.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients with salt and pepper to taste. Keep stirring until the sauce thickens.
  5. Sauté the crabs in the sauce and keep tossing till it becomes dry. Serve immediately.
