Malaysian Recipe : Fried Rice with Bean Sprouts

This is a one-dish meal.

Serves 6 to 8

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 150g bean sprouts
  • 300g shelled shrimps
  • 150g mushrooms
  • 300g chicken meat
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 stalk spring onions, sliced
  • 10 shallots, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Cut mushrooms into strips and chicken meat into cubes.
  2. Fry shallots in oil until golden brown, dish out and drain.
  3. Fry chicken meat, shrimps, mushrooms and peas in hot oil for 5 minutes. Then add cooked rice and stir fry for another 3 minutes.
  4. Add bean sprouts and stir fry. Season to taste.
  5. Serve with fried shallots and spring onions sprinkled over.
