Malaysian Recipe : Ikan Kukus Wilayah

Serves 4 to 6
Per person : 7g fat, 141 kcal (590 kilojoules)
Ingredients:
A:
- 5 red and green bird's chilies
- 5 shallots
- 3 cm young ginger
- 2 pcs tamarind skin, soaked well
B:
- 2 tbsps oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 Ikan bilis stock cube (Maggi ®)
- ½ tsp light soy sauce
- ¼ tsp pepper or to taste
- 1 kg fish, cleaned
- 2 sprigs coriander leaves
- 1 stalk spring onion/scallion
- 1 red chilies
Directions:
- Heat water for a steamer Thinly slice ingredients A. In a wok, heat oil and stir fry ingredients A. Add in ingredients B and fry for 3 minutes.
- Place fish on a steamer plate and pour sauce over fish. Steam fish for 10-15 minutes or until cooked. Garnish with coriander leaves, spring onion, red chilies and serve hot.
