Malaysian Recipe : Ikan Patin Asam Rebus Pahang

Serves 4 to 6
Per person : 5g fat, 117 kcal (489 kilojoules)
Ingredients:
A:
- 6 red chilies
- 5 shallots
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 stalks lemon grass
B:
- 750 ml water
- 4 pcs tamarind skins
- 1 stalk wild ginger flower, sliced
- 3 sprigs 'daun kesum'
- 1 ikan bilis stock cube (Maggi ®)
- 1 kg ikan Patin cleaned and cut into cutlets
Directions:
- Combine ingredients A and blend until very fine. In a saucepan, combine ingredients A and B. Boil over medium heat for 20 minutes or until aromatic.
- Add fish and simmer for 10 minutes. Add tomatoes and remove from heat.
