Malaysian Recipe : Peanut Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 250g roasted peanuts
  • 3-4 red chilies
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • ½ tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Blend the onion, roasted peanuts, chilies and garlic together until they form a thick paste.
  2. Put water in saucepan with vinegar, soy sauce and oil and allow to heat slowly
  3. Stir in the peanut paste and cook for 10 minutes stirring all the time. Season with salt and allow to cool before serving.

Note: Sauce should be thick and have a creamy consistency.
