Chinese Recipe : Braised Salmon with Soy Beans

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices fresh salmon, about 1 ½ lbs
  • 1 stalk leek, cut into small sections
  • 4 slices ginger
  • 1 cup soy beans
  • 2 tbsp wine
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 5 tbsp oil

Directions:

  1. Soak soy beans overnight. One cup will increase to 2 ½ cups.
  2. Heat oil and fry fish to light brown on both sides.
  3. Add leek, ginger, wine, soy sauce, sugar and soy beans.
  4. Cover with lid and simmer for 15 minutes. Serve either hot or cold.

Note: Salted salmon may be used instead of fresh salmon.
