Chinese Recipe : Fried Pomfret in Orange Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 black pomfret, about 500 gm
  • 45 gm almond flakes
  • ¼ tsp chopped garlic

Marinades:

  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • Pinch of pepper

Seasoning:

  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • ¼ tsp salt

Thickening:

  • 1 tsp cornflour solution

Directions:

  1. Peel fish skin, clean and drain well. Cut fish meat into 1 square inch. Marinate with marinades for 10 minutes, set aside.
  2. Heat up oil, stick almond flakes into fish chip and deep fry until golden brown. Dish and drain. Arrange on plate.
  3. Heat up wok with ½ tbsp of oil, stir fry chopped garlic.
  4. Stir in seasoning, bring to the boil and pour in cornflour solution, then pour over fish.
