Famous Authentic Chinese Recipe : Stir-Fried Pork Liver

Ingredients:

  • 300 g pork liver, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp Chinese rice wine
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 2 tsp finely chopped garlic
  • 3 cm ginger, finely sliced
  • 1 spring onion, cut in 3 cm lengths
  • ½ red chilli, de-seeded and sliced (optional)
  • 1 tsp chicken stock powder
  • 1 tsp light soy sauce
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornflour, mixed with water

Directions:

  1. Marinate liver with wine for about 5 minutes.
  2. Heat oil and fry the garlic for a few seconds, then add drained liver, ginger, spring onion and chili (if using).
  3. Stir fry over high heat for a few seconds.
  4. Add stock powder, soy sauce and sugar and continue stir frying for 1-2 minutes, until the liver is cooked.
  5. Thicken with cornflour and serve immediately.
