Famous Authentic Chinese Recipe - Dragon-like Skewered Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • 16 chicken wings
  • 200g skinned bamboo shoots
  • 40g ham

Seasonings:

  • 1 slice ginger
  • ½ cup clear soup
  • 1 tbsp wine
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • A dash each of sesame oil and pepper
  • 1 tsp starch
  • A dash of parsley

Directions:

  1. Wash the chicken wings clean, boil them in hot water for 10 minutes, take them out, cook them, take the upper parts without using the parts with tips and draw two thin bones out of each wing for use.
  2. Cut ham and skinned bamboo shoot into 5-cm strips, wash the parsley clean and dry.
  3. Insert one ham strip and one bamboo shoot strip into each wing, lay the wings in a bowl when all are stuffed, pour ½ cup of soup in, add 1 tbsp of wine, salt and ginger slices, then put the bowl in the steamer, cover and steam the stuffed wings over hot water for about 30 minutes.
  4. Lay the steamed chicken wings in a plate, pour the steaming sauce into the pot, season it with oyster sauce, light soy sauce, sesame oil and pepper, bring it to the boil, stir in solution of 1 tsp of starch in 2 tsp of water, pour the sauce over the chicken wings and garnish them with parsley at both ends of the plate for serving.
