Famous Authentic Chinese Recipe - Deep-fried Prawn Balls

Ingredients:

  • 480g shelled prawns
  • 120g fat pork
  • 120g skinned water chestnuts
  • 4 chicken eggs
  • 1 orange

Seasonings:

  • Adequate amount each of salt, wine, MSG, pepper and starch

Directions:

  1. Chop the shelled prawns together with fat pork; pound skinned water chestnuts.
  2. Put the prawns, fat pork and water chestnuts in a bowl, add chicken egg white, wine, salt, MSG, starch and pepper and stir them well into colloid.
  3. Make the (2) into small balls by hand, put them into low-heat oil, deep fry the prawn balls until they float and turn golden yellow, place them in a plate when the meat is thoroughly cooked and garnish them with raw orange slices for serving.
