Chinese Recipe - Stir Fried Abalone with Chinese Cabbage

Serves 4 to 6
Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 inch piece fresh root ginger, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 small leek, white part only, thinly sliced into rings
- 1 small Chinese cabbage, shredded
- ¼ tsp MSG (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 ½ tbsp lemon juice
- 1 lb canned or fresh abalone, drained and sliced
Directions:
- Heat the oil in a large, deep frying pan. Add the ginger and leek and stir fry for 2 minutes.
- Add the cabbage and stir fry for 4 minutes, or until it is cooked through but still crisp.
- Sprinkle over the MSG if you're using it, pepper, soy sauce, and lemon juice and stir in the abalone. Cook the mixture, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a serving dish and serve at once.
