Chinese Recipe - Abalone Soup with Meat Balls

Ingredients:

A:

• ½ lb ground beef
  
• 2 tbsp chopped leek
  
• 1 tsp minced ginger
  
• ½ tsp salt
  
• 1 tbsp cornstarch
  
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
  
• 1 egg

B:

• 1 packet vermicelli (50grams or 2 oz), previously soaked in
• warm water
  
• 4 stalks leeks, cut into small pieces
  
• 4 slices ginger
  
• 8 cups broth or water
  
• 4 canned abalone, sliced
  
• ¼ lb Chinese cabbage, cut into small sections
  
• 2 tbsp wine
  
• 2 tsp salt

Directions:

1. Mix A ingredients thoroughly and form into small meat balls about the size of a quarter in diameter.
2. Heat broth and add meat balls and other B ingredients, except wine and salt.
3. When broth boils, add these. Cook until ingredients become tender, and serve hot.
