Chinese Recipe : Crisp Fried Bamboo Shoots

This is a vegetarian dish.
Ingredients:
A:
- 600g bamboo shoots
- 6 fried gluten balls
- 1 green pepper
- 6 button mushrooms
- 1 small slice ginger
B:
- 1 tbsp sweet fermented rice
- 1 tbsp hot chili paste
- 1/3 tsp salt
- ½ tsp MSG (optional)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 ½ cup water
C:
- ½ tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- ½ tbsp sesame oil
Directions:

Remove the shell from the bamboo shoots, cut into bite-size triangles and deep-fry in oil (100°C) for 4 minutes and remove and drain.

Soak the gluten balls in water until soft. Chop them together with green pepper, mushrooms and ginger. Stir fry in 2 tbsp hot oil over high heat until fragrant.

Add 'B' and the bamboo shoots; cook for 3 minutes.

Add 'C' and the sesame oil, stir until mixed. Remove and serve.
