Chinese Recipe - Sweet and Sour Cabbage

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. Chinese cabbage
  • 1 oz. fresh chilies
  • 2 tbsps. oil
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Seasoning sauce:

  • 1 1/2 tbsps. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • Pinch of salt and MSG
  • 2 tsp. sesame oil

Directions:

1. Wash and tear the Chinese cabbage into 3 inch pieces.

2. Deseed the chilies.

3. 2 tbsps. oil in wok and stir fry the chili shreds and black pepper over a moderate heat for 1 minute.

4. Add the Chinese cabbage and continue to stir fry for another 2 to 3 minutes.

5. Pour in the seasoning sauce and cook for another minute. Serve sprinkled with sesame oil.
