Chinese Recipe : Sweet and Sour Pork - Vegetarian

This is a vegetarian dish.
Ingredients:
A:
- 1 green pepper
- 4 slices pineapple
- A few button mushrooms
B:
C:
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup water
D:
- ½ tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
Directions:
- Soak the soy protein until soft (20 minutes), then boil in water for 2 minutes; remove and rinse. Squeeze out the water and mix with a little salt, MSG, pepper and 'B'. Deep fry in medium hot oil until crispy; remove and drain,
- Cut the green pepper and pineapple into pieces; slice the button mushrooms. Stir fry 'A' lightly in 2 tbsp hot oil; add 'C' and bring to a boil
- Add 'D' to thicken. Continue boiling until the sauce had thick and smooth consistency, then add the soy protein and stir until mixed. Remove and serve.
