Brunei Recipe : Rojak Brunei

Ingredients:

  • 1 green apple, cubed
  • 1 green pear, cubed
  • 3 pineapple rings in syrup, cubed
  • 1 slice papaya, cubed
  • 1 star fruit, thinly sliced
  • 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced

Sauce ingredients:

  • 60g peanuts, dry roasted
  • 2 red chilies, chopped
  • 2 cili padi, chopped
  • 100g palm sugar
  • 1 to 2 tbsp tamarind paste
  • 80-100ml warm water
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Keep fruits separately. Chill them.
  2. To prepare sauce: Grind peanuts until very fine. Add chilies, palm sugar, tamarind paste, water and salt to taste. Blend well to form a paste.
  3. Serve chilled fruits with sauce.
