Indian Recipe : Black Pepper Chicken

Serves 4
Preparation time: 2 hours
Cooking time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 800g chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tsp ginger paste
  • 2 tsp garlic paste
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 tsp black peppercorn, crushed
  • 3 1/3 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tsp green coriander, chopped
  • ½ tsp garam masala

Directions:

  1. For the marinade, mix together the ginger and garlic pastes, turmeric, red chili paste and salt.
  2. Marinate the chicken drumsticks in this mixture and keep aside for 2 hours.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and fry chicken till golden brown in color, remove and keep aside.
  4. In a wok, add chicken along with marinade and all other ingredients, stir fry till chicken is fully cooked. Serve hot, accompanied by any Indian bread.
