Indian Recipe : Onion Chutney
|
|
Ingredients:
- ½ cup onion
- 10 red chilies
- 15 g Urad dal (black gram - split)
- 10 g tamarind
- 3 tbsps gingelly oil
- Salt to taste
Directions:
- Chop onions and fry in 1 tbsp oil until they become transparent. Set aside.
- In the same pan, heat 1 tbsp oil and fry the red chilies and dal.
- Grind the fried ingredients, onions and salt at high speed for 2 minutes to form a smooth paste.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil and fry the ground chutney for 10 minutes. This can be preserved for 2 to 3 days.
