International Recipe : Mashed Potatoes

8-10 servings

Ingredients:

  • 6 medium US Russet potatoes, peeled
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 liter water
  • 60g butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 60-125ml milk

Directions:

  1. Bring the potatoes, salt and enough water to cover potatoes to a boil in a saucepan over high heat. Lower heat and simmer covered for 30 minutes or until fork-tender. Drain.
  2. In a large bowl with mixer at low speed, beat potatoes, butter, salt and pepper until fluffy. Beating at medium speed, slowly add the milk until mixture is moist; continue beating for another 2 minutes or until mixture is smooth.
  3. Adjust seasoning to taste.
