Chinese Recipe : Bean Curd with Ground Beef and Chili Peppers

Ingredients:
- 2 cakes bean curd (3/4 lb)
- ¼ lb ground or minced beef
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1 clove garlic, cracked
- 5 chili peppers, chopped
- 1 tbsp chopped leek
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp cornstarch, mixed with ½ cup water or broth
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
Directions:
- Cut bean curd into small triangles or mixed geometric shapes.
- Heat oil and fry garlic, red peppers and leek. Add meat.
- When meat changes color, add bean curd, coy sauce and sugar.
- Cover with lid and cook for 10 minutes. Then add cornstarch mixture.
- Turn out into serving dish, sprinkle with sesame oil, and serve hot.
