Chinese Recipe : Fried Egg with Shark's Fin

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz refined shark’s fin
  • 1 stalk leek
  • 2 slices ginger
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp wine
  • 1 tsp ginger juice
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 8 tbsp oil

Directions:

  1. Soak refined shark’s fine overnight. Rinse in cold water and boil for 1 hour with leek and ginger. (A pinch of baking soda may be added during boiling).
  2. Rinse and drain shark’s fin 3 times after boiling.
  3. Beat eggs; add shark’s fin and seasonings.
  4. Heat 8 tbsp oil and fry mixture until eggs are set. Serve hot.

Shark finning is threatening the existence of sharks! Hundred of millions of sharks are killed annually for their fins alone. STOP eating shark's fin if you want the killing to stop.
